Mike and Lynne Briggs, Alpharetta, GA recently scheduled a Design Center appointment with Dianne Wilson.

Creating your own log home just the way you want it is pretty exciting stuff. At least, we think so at Tennessee Log Homes. That’s why we created the "Design Center," so folks like you could express themselves by designing their own Tennessee Log Home. From a house on the lake to a cabin in the hills, home or getaway, lodge to lean-to, we can assist in designing that home of your dreams.

Dianne's work is projected onto a large screen, and you can watch your home be built.

Our Design Center offers floor plans, elevations, foundations, 3D renderings, Interior panoramic views, and 360-degree all-around exterior views to move you toward an approved set of blueprints and the plan of your dreams. During the revision process, we can deliver your plans via mail, fax, or right over the web. You can "red-line" the plans for changes on your computer with our free software. Or, if you prefer, you can simply use a pen to mark the prints for changes.

The Briggs watch the 3-D model develop as Dianne creates the working blueprints.  They have tons of pictures and photographs for inspiration.  The results are shown below.  The Briggs visit all the models at our Model Home Center for even more inspiration. 

The Briggs like the ULTIMATE PACKAGING LEVEL that they see in our MOUNTAINVIEW MODEL HOME.  They plan to use an 8x12 FLAT LOG WITH DOVETAIL CORNER JOINERY.  Their roof framing will be 8x8 DOUGLAS FIR BEAMS AND STRUCTURAL HEAVY TIMBER TRUSSES -FULLY PRECUT WITH MORTISE-AND-TENNON JOINERY- THE EXTERIOR ACCENTS WILL BE 10 TO 14-INCH ROUND TIMBERS WITH DRAW KNIFE FINISH.  SEVERAL NATURAL SHAPE, HAND PEELED, LARGE DIAMETER STRUCTURAL POSTS WILL BE USED INSIDE

  

The Briggs started with the floor plans of their existing conventional home, changed and improved them, and left the appointment with a great visualization of their dream home. ONLY THE FINEST QUALITY TIMBERS, LOGS AND POSTS WILL BE USED IN THIS HOME.

You are encouraged to make appointments with a Design Center consultant to discuss your plans and make changes. You can watch the work being done on the computer via a large projection screen system.
