Capture
and Cascade
Capture the timeless beauty of natural grain. |
|
| Nature
is beautiful—but harsh. So Capture log stain is
specifically designed to protect the exterior of your home
no matter what the weather condition or elevation. Capture's
unequaled formula allows the coating to move freely as your logs
inevitably expand and contract (as moisture escapes and
temperatures change). Which means no pealing, flaking or
chalking-just a beautiful coating that really lasts!
It's truly remarkable and
unheard of until now—an elastic coating that stretches with log
movement. This flexibility permits the bridging of small cracks in
the surface of wood and provides an elastic shield for the
underlying wood. Virtually no other coating provides this level of
elasticity. Loaded with UV absorbers, Capture protects your home
from the damaging effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. Capture
glides on and clean up is easy with just soap and water.
One heavy coat of Capture is
recommended with the following application method: spray
Capture on and immediately back-brush it into the wood (or,
directly brush on), with vigorous brushing to ensure proper
penetration and adhesion. Don't just brush out runs!
(Apply in the shade, not in the sun, so the stain doesn't dry too
fast.)
Coverage Rate:
One gallon of Capture
log stain covers 200-300 sq. ft. on smooth surfaces and
approximately 150 sq. ft. per gallon on rough surfaces. One
gallon of Cascade clear coat covers 400-600 sq. ft. of
smooth surfaces and approximately 250 sq. ft. per gallon on rough
surfaces. For best performance apply between the
temperatures 60 and 90 degrees.
Moisture content of the logs
should be 20% or less.
Capture is the water
based, pigmented part of a two-part system:
An extremely effective, attractive stain followed by a clear,
weather-repellent topcoat called Cascade.

You chose
your logs for their unique and rustic beauty. So why hide it? Use
one of Capture's ten beautiful, transparent colors and see your
logs come alive as every knot, grain and detail is enhanced.
|
| Cascade
provides added exterior protection against damaging UV rays, molds
and fungi. It dries with a modest sheen and adds depth to the
appearance of stained logs. Capture and Cascade are water based
products.
Apply one heavy coat of Cascade
clear topcoat. Any runs or build up of material should be
brushed out before drying.

High Sierra
Log Stain
Goes on Fast – Stays on Long
|
 |
| High
Sierra Log & Deck Stain was formulated for ease of
application without sacrificing beauty or performance. It
really is easy to apply. The 2-coat oil based system
has a longer working time so that lap marks are practically
eliminated and the second coat evens out inconsistencies that may
have occurred on the application of the first coat. It can even be
applied at cooler temperatures, surface temperatures as low as 40ºF.
The durability of High Sierra has
been successfully tested on one of the most difficult
substrates-decks. And, although performance is paramount, let’s
not forget beauty. High Sierra has a color pallet of 10 choices,
from rich, warm browns, to natural, honey colors. The high quality
trans-oxide pigments enhance the beauty of the grain while
protecting the wood. The finish is stunning, durable, and will
look like it was applied by professionals. No topcoat
needed.
Coverage Rate:
First coat covers 150-300
sq. ft. per gallon. Second coat applied within 30 minutes to
2 hours after the first coat will cover 250-450 sq. ft. per
gallon. For best performance apply between 60 and 90
degrees.
High Sierra
is no longer recommended for decks and railings.
