Slab-Scribe Flat Douglas Fir Logs

Slab-Scribe logs are unique.  You will likely not find these anywhere else.  You can use Dovetail Corners or Saddle Notch corners.  You can ask for Heavy Log Taper, Medium, or Slight Log Taper.  The Spruce does not show much grain when slabbed, but the Doug Fir and Western Cedar show grain very well and have tremendous character.  Doug Fir adds about 10% more money, and Western Cedar adds about 25% more.  If you want a UNIQUE HOME, this is the log style to use.  The Doug Fir logs shown below on this page have minimal taper and saddle notch corners. 

The Cedar logs shown on the link below have heavy taper and dovetail corners.

No cost difference for the taper or corner style, but Cedar costs more than Douglas Fir.
