We wish to thank Mike and Laura Curry for sharing their beautiful home with us!

This Northern Nevada country is simply breathtaking, so foreign to us in East Tennessee. This editor will continue the Curry's story with photos of the incredible views.

Mike wrote to us recently "When we got up just before sunrise this morning it was clear, bright and seven degrees! A beautiful clear morning. And the cabin is warm and comfy. The insulation is great and we can really enjoy the surrounding landscape through the big windows."

Dead Camel Mountains in the distance offer an ever-changing landscape.

"The scenery is, indeed, a bit different than most log home locations. We are considered high desert, elevation 4000 feet. Fallon (Nevada) is located in the Lahontan Valley in Northern Nevada," Mike said.  In the spring & summer the sage, grasses, and tumbleweed  green up the landscape.

Star gazing is unsurpassed in this corner of the world.  Mike says that a full moon is truly spectacular.
