THE “DRY-IN” SCHEDULE Upon completion of your foundation, you are ready to begin what is generally called the dry-in phase of construction.  The following is a list of procedures involved in what Tennessee Log Homes considers a complete “dry-in.” Subfloor construction including sill plate, floor joists and plywood           decking Deck construction for covered porches and open decks with rails           (no steps) Log wall installation and pre-drilling for wiring in first two courses Second floor girder beam and joist installation with applicable                wiring runs Second floor tongue & groove decking installation Shed dormer wall construction House ridge beam, rafter and collar tie construction Gable wall and gable dormer wall construction Tongue & groove decking installation, vapor barrier and wiring runs (Premier Roof  System)  (For conventional roof -- OSB and felt installation) Roof insulation panels, OSB and felt installation (Premier Roof System) (For conventional roof -- installation of roof insulation not a part of dry-in process) Porch posts, plates and rafter construction Tongue & groove porch roof decking and felt Insulation board and log siding installation for gables and dormers Exterior doors and windows with exterior trim installation Interior stud wall construction and interior stars Exterior roof fascia installation Subfloor band siding installation
